![]() ![]() As such the system is completely auto-repairing, one of the many major reasons Blizzard is migrating all their current games from the MPQ system to CASC. Since this is done for each resource loaded the chances are that it will detect any modifications to the file system and automatically reject them, replacing them with fresh downloaded versions which are not corrupt. If it detects corruption (hash mismatch) then it will re-download the corrupted file from BattleNet. These hashes are downloaded in huge sections from BattleNet and make up the core of the archive system. The CASC file system is heavily reliant on cryptographic hashes. It hardly uses bnet to repair itself but I don't see how I can replace any textures. What are you talking about? The game is pretty much online only and if you were invited to the alpha (soon beta) then it will be available to download. What about the offline / leaked version, is this local files?
